Testing
Every pack is disassembled and tested. Modules that qualify go to our sister company, Greentec Auto, to be remanufactured into new batteries. Modules that don't test high enough move on to recycling.
Step 03
Recycling
End-of-life batteries are recycled to recover valuable materials — moving the supply chain forward and helping build the batteries of the future.

Safety Through Expertise
We don't take a battery pack and throw it in the shredder. Our technicians reuse every viable part — modules, sensors, BMS components — and whatever can't be reused is disassembled down to the module level and safely recycled.
Nothing Wasted
Every battery gets a second look before it gets a second life. Qualifying modules go back into remanufactured packs. The rest is recycled for its materials. Only true scrap reaches the shredder.

From a Sacramento Garage to Global Domination
Greentec Recycling wasn’t a startup idea. It was the inevitable next step of a company that had spent over a decade handling more hybrid and EV batteries than anyone else.

Opening Up Recycling
With all that feedstock coming in — and tons of batteries that didn't test high enough to be remanufactured — we needed somewhere safe for them to go. So we built it. Greentec Recycling funnels our own batteries, plus packs from corporations, scrap yards, and individuals, into responsible recycling.
